About

I moved to Hong Kong in 2016. Somewhere between the jet lag and the humidity, I started taking photos and never really stopped.

Most of what you see here is shot on a small Fujifilm camera that fits in a jacket pocket, and occasionally on my iPhone when something catches my eye before I can dig the camera out. No studio, no assistants, no plan most of the time.

I like the contrast between the clean and the chaotic. The pristine skyline and the rusting air-con unit. The temple next to the pawnshop. Hong Kong does this better than anywhere I've been, and after a decade here I'm still finding new angles on streets I've walked a hundred times.

The travel shots from Japan, Tibet, Alaska and elsewhere happened the same way. Wandering around with a camera, trying to be in the right place at the right time, and occasionally getting lucky.
